波浪形衬板，是介于凸棱形、阶梯衬板之间，对于一个波节而言，上升部分对提升研磨体是很有效的，分散扬起、增大了接触面积(即研磨面积)，但总的带球能力要比凸棱形差，但可避免过高抛起的不良现象，比较合适研磨仓、棒锻仓。如选矿需要，根据入磨矿石的研磨系数、出磨系数要求，如确认是因冲击力过小，则可考虑改用凸棱形衬板，加大平均球径等措施。
